How To setup
mIRC
on
Windows &
Linux to access
FreeThinker's
SSL
irc
Download mIRC here
To be able to use
SSL with
mIRC you will need to install
openssl first
Download openssl here
In order to connect to the network using the mIRC client with ssl
you must set everything the same way you will see here
Just follow the steps and it will all work

Click Add to add the FreeThinker network

Click ok and then select

Click Connect to server

The first time you will connect to the network, you will be presented
with the secure network certificate
Select automatically accept this certificate in future
to never be asked again about it and use it by default
for this network
If you do not wish to accept automatically; everytime you connect
you will be asked again.
Cacelling will not allow you to connect

You are now connected and secure
NOTE:
If mIRC failed to connect to the network using ssl
please check to see if mirc is loading the needed ssl files
click on the menu options and confirm if you have the SSL button there
